No, I don't think pomegranates can float on water. But hey, if a person can walk on water? *EDIT: Yes, pomegranates can indeed float on water. *Mersault had clarified it for me. Now, can anyone find out if people can walk on water? *
I hope it feels like June to you folks. I had a hard time figuring out how depict the Month of June for *augustc4's Calendar Collaboration. I picked this particular month simply because I was born on this month. If it doesn't feel like June, just tell me what you feel like anyways. I'm always interested to know.
Usually I'd set the resolution at something around 1024*768 but for presentation purposes I made this one a 2 screen scroll.
Tools and stuff used: - Aging PC with loads of spywares in it - Graphire3 Tablet - openCanvas 3.03 (go figure)
I actually finished this in the 3 weeks that I have set for myself! oC3 event file available on request.
BTW, if you haven't watched yet then you must have missed a heck load of good stuff
edit: Prints now enabled on request.

Wow, what excellent colouring technique. I love the concept too and, well, this whole picture, really - it's just beautiful! All that seems rather off to me, is her face. It looks volumeless, flat. The hair looks a bit rushed, too, but it may be because of the lack of face features. Otherwise, this is a lovely, lovely piece of art.
You may be right about face and hair, looking back at this old piece now I keep thinking I can make the figure look much better. Back then however, I'd only wanted to try and see if I can make the scene
I love the way you made the lotus leaves look like a sort of collage, like papers pasted on top of each other, and the relection of the sky and the lady. Good job! But her hair really bugs me, it looks pretty old fashioned and stiff to me.
I really like this one!!! You've done some really nice photos and deviations lately! I'm sorry I haven't been around much, I'm buried in the task of photographing, researching and writing descriptions of a buch of antiques and I don't see an end to it any time soon but I'ill be back someday! I need to get a lot of these old things listed for sale on my collectibles website [link] , it seems like a never ending job but I have to do it. At least its not boring!
Keep up the fine work amade! I always enjoy seeing your new creations! , Brent
