Garuda Mobile Crab~ ATTACK!!!

Lineart was from a three year old scrap, originally a page from a Manga work I've abandoned. My best CG effort yet
Some history on the mecha... Johan Garuda owns a workshop in a backwater desert town. Every four years he looks forward to join the state level Mecha Jousting Tournament and this Crab Mecha is his latest crack at beating his archrival. The story then turns lame and I scrapped the whole project. The mecha itself isn't really a good fighter when you take into account that it's mobility is limited mostly to strafing. For weapons, it has giant pincers/claws to crush enemy armor into itsy-bitsy pieces (only melee weapons were allowed in the tournament).

Very nice work. I like the subtle damage to the legs. It sort of reminds me of a Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell.
